Are you a Good steward of what you have entrusted?

Money is the number 1 factor that steal us from God.

“The rich become richer and the poor become poorer”.

I heard this phrases many times. And I was reminded by the parable of the tenants. Sometimes, the number one reason of your poverty is poor spending habits and your extravagant lifestyle. You have been splurging money for things that don’t have value or on things that depreciates in value.

Here is the parable of the talents, found in Matthew 25: 14–29 (ESV Version). “For it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted to them his property. To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his ability. Then he went away.

He who had received the five talents went at once and traded with them, and he made five talents more. So also he who had the two talents made two talents more. But he who had received the one talent went and dug in the ground and hid his master’s money.

Now after a long time the master of those servants came and settled accounts with them. And he who had received the five talents came forward, ringing five talents more, saying, “Master, you delivered me five talents; here I have made five talents more.”

His master said to him, “well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.

And he also who had two talents came forward saying, “Master, you delivered to me two talents; here I have made two talents more.” His Master said to him, “well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.”

He also who had received the one talent came forward saying, “Master, I knew you to be hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you scattered no seed, so I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Here you have what is yours.”

But his master answered him, “you wicked and slothful servant! You knew that I reap where I have not sown and gather where I scattered no seed? Then you ought to have invested my money with the bankers, and at my coming I should have received what was my own with interest.

TOP 5 THINGS YOU SHOULDN’T WASTE

Life is the most precious gift you should never waste. Aside from that,  I have summarized below top 5 things we should never waste because once it’s broke. It will never be retrieve as perfect as it was.

How you spend your day will directly affect your life in a long run. Your habits and your daily routine will determine whether you’ll be a success or failure. Whatever choice you make, make sure you’re not wasting your life.

Listed below are the top 5 most precious assets we have. Don’t waste a single bit of it.

TIME

“Your time is limited. Never waste it living someone else life” – Steve Jobs

One important thing you should not waste is TIME. Today the average life span of a typical person is 25,550 days or 70 years, too short as compared to the times of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.  But some died early; others live longer than 70 years old. Whatever your life span be, make sure you’ve provided value for others.

Make your mark on this earth!

You should also accept the fact that you are going to die someday. It will eventually come no matter how you avoid it. Live each day as if it was your last so you will value everything you have.

Jim Rohn said, “TIME- we all have limited supply. Life is not just a passing of time. It is collection of experiences”.

Another said, “Don’t say you don’t have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that was given to Hellen Keller, Pasteur, Michaelangelo, Mother Teresa, Leonardo da vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and albert Einstein”.

How about you? How do you treat TIME?

Being busy doesn’t mean being productive. Being busy watching television and playing video games the whole day is not productivity, it’s a waste of time. I have seen people who always blame the government, their parents, and even their neighbors of their poverty, but never do things that will change their situation. That is stupidity. Change yourself first and your environment will eventually change. Stop blaming someone of your misery.

Balance everything out of your hectic schedule. Proper scheduling is the key, schedule time for your family, business, and leisure.  Don’t mix them.

Never take time for granted. You cannot turn back the hands of time so make the best out of it.  You should count your age by quality not by quantity.
