Terri Savelle-Foy is my favorite success cheerleader. She never fails to entertain and inspire me. I watch her You Tube channel daily for inspiration and success advises.

Today I want to share with you 5 Rules of Successful Goal Setting from this beautiful success coach.

  • How her friend lose 50 pounds and keep it off.
  • How her friend save more than US$50,000 when she only save when she’s 57 years old.
  • How she write 6 books in 6 years

To sum it off, she called it COMMITMENT!

She always challenge people to make a vision board to stretch our imagination to think outside the realm of possibilities.

DREAM BIG AS YOU CAN.

Five Rules Of Successful Goal Setting

But if all of your dreams can take more than 12 to 18 months to accomplish, it destroys your confidence and it diminishes your hope.

So…It’s best to follow these 5 Rules.

1. SET SOME SMALLER GOALS

Set some smaller goals in addition to big goals. Promise yourself that this will be your best year so far.

When you achieved your smaller goals, it will increase your commitment.

2. WRITE YOUR GOALS

You have to put your goals in writing.

Your chance of success increases by 98 percent when you put your goals in paper.

Everyday, write your goals for 30 days.

3. BEING S-M-A-R-T WITH YOUR GOALS

S – SPECIFIC

Clarity is important, be clear with your goals as much as possible. Example, your goal is to save 5,000 US Dollar bay the end of this year.

M – MEASURABLE

Instead of saying, “I will lose weight. Say, “I will lose 30 pounds at the end of next month.”

A – ACTION ORIENTED

Act and be consistent, “I’ll exercise 5 days a week for 30 minutes.

R – REALISTIC

Instead of saying, “I will save 30,000 US Dollar by this month, if your current salary is 17,000 US Dollar. Realistic is to save at least 7,000 US Dollar from your monthly salary.

T – TIMELINE

Deadline is MOTIVATING!

If you put a Deadline into your goals. You’ll be motivated.

4. PUTTING YOUR GOALS IN PICTURE

If you put an images into your goals, it will increase your commitment.

5. LOOK AT IT EVERYDAY

If you’re looking at your goal and you’re praying for it everyday, you’ll be motivated to check it off.

I hope this motivates you to set goals.
