I wrote this prayer just after Typhoon Yolanda. It was a super typhoon landed in the Philippines that stole a thousand lives. It was probably the most destructive typhoon ever landed in the region.
It happened years ago but it always remind me of that tragic night. It taught me lessons of empathy and gratefulness. Life is short to waste on things that don’t matter. It taught me to live my life to the fullest.
When you love, it is not you to be understood but you to understand; not for you to take but for you to be taken; to listen not to dictate; to sacrifice and not to demand; not to count or measure but to love
1.Heaven and earth relationship
“Horizon is where heaven and earth meet: A love story that crossed boundaries.” – Diana Williams
This is a relationship that is bound by age and status in life. Relationships like these had so many complications, – from oppositions to denials to criticisms to judgments from families, friends and love ones.
Example is the “Cinderella love story”. Although Cinderella is a fairy tale story, it has still the connotation that heaven and earth can collide. It gives hope to the loveless.

What if one day, you will face difficult situation that test your ability to decide from two major decisions? 5 years ago, my Life was a total mess. I have no goals, no clear direction, no vision boards and no dream whatsoever. I was just living my life just like any other. I don’t know where my life is heading. I have no guts to discover new things because I am afraid of failing.
Every day is just another ordinary day – waking up, go to work, go home late at night, sleep. It was a simple life, no complications, but It was boring.
Then one day I realized, comfort zone will never bring me to the peak of the mountain. I have to take difficult roads to achieve greatness. And that starts my love for business and inspirational books. Then changed my daily routine, I read inspirational books or watch motivational YouTube channels that inspired me a lot like Evan Carmichael, Terri Savelle Foy, Joel Osteen, Valuetainment and many more. They are my hero. They opened my eyes to the real essence of life. I’ve learned that success is hard but it’s not impossible.

If you want to be an effective leader, learn to be a servant first.
Learn to humble yourself. Humility is not thinking less of yourself; It is thinking of yourself less – C.S. Lewis.
It is one of the greatest assets a leader must have, it is more important than power and fame. Your humility will stand up after your fame and power has gone.
Humble leaders magnetize all the grace of God, They are leaders the world needs.
Simon Sinek – a motivational speaker and the author of the best-selling book, Start with Why, shared a great story:
There was a former undersecretary of defense who was invited to speak in a large conference about a thousand of people. He was standing in the stage with this cup of coffee in Styrofoam cup. After he sipped, he said, Last year I spoke in these exact the same conference, I was still the undersecretary of defense. When I spoke here last year they flew me here business class. When I arrived at the airport somebody is waiting for me to take me in my hotel room.
The next morning, I came downstairs and there’s someone waiting in the lobby to greet me and drove me into this exact the same venue. They took me into a green room where they handed me a cup of coffee in a beautiful ceramic cup.
Now, I am no longer the undersecretary. I flew here coach. I took a taxi into my hotel. When I came down to the lobby this morning, I took another taxi into this venue. I came in front door and found my way backstage. And when I ask someone “Do you have any coffee?” He pointed to the coffee machine at the corner and I poured myself a cup of coffee into this Styrofoam cup. He said, “The cup is never meant for me, it is meant for the position I held. I deserve a Styrofoam cup.”
As you gain fame and fortune, as you gain position and authority people will treat you better. They will hold doors open for you. They will get you a cup of coffee without you even ask. They will call you Sir and Ma’am and they will give you stuff. None of that stuff is meant for you, it is meant for the position you hold. You deserve a Styrofoam cup. Always remember this lesson of HUMILITY.
Are you a Good steward of what you have entrusted?
Money is the number 1 factor that steal us from God.
“The rich become richer and the poor become poorer”.
I heard this phrases many times. And I was reminded by the parable of the tenants. Sometimes, the number one reason of your poverty is poor spending habits and your extravagant lifestyle. You have been splurging money for things that don’t have value or on things that depreciates in value.
Here is the parable of the talents, found in Matthew 25: 14–29 (ESV Version). “For it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted to them his property. To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his ability. Then he went away.
He who had received the five talents went at once and traded with them, and he made five talents more. So also he who had the two talents made two talents more. But he who had received the one talent went and dug in the ground and hid his master’s money.
Now after a long time the master of those servants came and settled accounts with them. And he who had received the five talents came forward, ringing five talents more, saying, “Master, you delivered me five talents; here I have made five talents more.”
His master said to him, “well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.
And he also who had two talents came forward saying, “Master, you delivered to me two talents; here I have made two talents more.” His Master said to him, “well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.”
He also who had received the one talent came forward saying, “Master, I knew you to be hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you scattered no seed, so I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Here you have what is yours.”
But his master answered him, “you wicked and slothful servant! You knew that I reap where I have not sown and gather where I scattered no seed? Then you ought to have invested my money with the bankers, and at my coming I should have received what was my own with interest.
Believing in yourself is the key foundation of success in any measure. How you see yourself affects how you live and spend your day. It doesn’t mean bragging and being boastful (that is arrogance). It simply means loving yourself first because you cannot give what you do not have, and simply believing in your ability to succeed.
Self-Confidence is crucial and essential in developing ones willpower and ability to achieve. It is a positive belief that you can achieve something big in the future.
My favorite you tube vlogger alpha m. described it as unwavering belief in your ability, values and self-worth.
Never interchange it with arrogance. Arrogance is telling everybody and bragging about your achievements.
Attitude is a difference maker. The difference between successful and unsuccessful people lies in the way they handle their problems and victories. The book entitled Marks of the Winner written by Ed Lapiz created a big impact in my life. And I want to share it with you to give inspiration and encouragement. As a … Read more
