THE Tests Of LIFE We Have To ENDURE

Facebooktwittergoogle_pluspinterest

There are tests of life we have to endure. Everyday we are confronted with setbacks and trials that leave us unguarded. But Life is Good Despite Surging storms, Shaking Ground and Trials. God will win our fights.

1. The Test of Life and Death

What if one day, you will face difficult situation that test your ability to decide from two major decisions? Let say, your wife is about to give birth to your first baby, you have waited for so long, prayed and cried a lot, went to a series of fertilization just to conceive. And God answered your prayer.

But the big problem is, your wife had complications, you have to choose who to save, the baby whom you have waited or your wife whom you dearly love. You cannot choose both or you will lose them both.

The Power of the Tongue

Facebooktwittergoogle_pluspinterest

Your Tongue is Powerful! So…

Before you speak:

T.H.I.N.K

T – Is it TRUE?

H – Is it HELPFUL?

I – Is it INSPIRING?

N – Is it NECESSARY?

K – Is it KIND?

Our tongue is the most powerful force created to mankind. It has the ability to build and destroy; it can inspire or tear down, it can make or break a relationship.

Words can be deadly if use in a wrong way.  I have read the news lately regarding this guy stabbing his friend to death due to misunderstanding. A simple conversation that lead to an argument.

Beware of your jokes; Handle it properly, always put it in place! Regardless of how good your intention – if your friend is not in “good mood”, it will never make him laugh! Never assume! Respect other’s privacy.

If your words are sharp, you will surely reap the fruit. So before you open your mouth make sure you have something good to say.

On the other hand, words can be a blessing. If I’m down and depressed, I watched inspirational videos from TEDx, Terri Savelle Foy, Joel Osteen, Evan Carmichael vlogs – their videos are inspiring and educational, it was a great stress reliever.

You are what you are now because of the words that were spoken to you. If you constantly prophesy bad thing in your life, that bad thing will come to life. You cannot talk negative and expect a positive life.

  1. Words can Break Trust.

True story:

I loved my best friend, always protect her and defend her from her detractors. Never thought we will go separate ways. One night, I overheard her talking destructive words about me. My anger goes into my nerve. All I want is slap her. But my mind said “no”. I confronted her the next day, we talked but even if she said “sorry”, the trust was lost, and difficult to rebuild.

  1. Words can Destroy a Family/Relationship

When I was young, I always wondered why my grandmother on my father’s side doesn’t like us much. She always tell us, “We are not good enough”. But she praises my cousins for their job well done. Never did I see or hear her appreciate me for my good deeds, but I love her still, after all, she was my grandmother.

When she died, my dad and his siblings had great conflict due to land distribution. His eldest brother wants a bigger portion, according to him; he spent a lot of effort to make that land bigger. But my dad wants an equal distribution because everybody contributed.

They exchange bad and hurting words that even us – their children, were divided apart. My uncle blamed my dad for my grandmother’s misfortune; according to him my grandparents never want my mom to be the wife of my dad.

That incident opened my eyes to the reason why we are never appreciated by our grandmother. It hurt us but I believe we are not the reason for the said “misfortune”. But still hurts! Words can really make or break you.

Another incident happened when I was 12 years old, I saw my mom shouting and crying her heart out, it seemed it was an end of the world. I hugged her tight.

I asked her, “Why are you crying mom?”

In between sob she said, “Sweetie, your dad had an accident and died!”

I was shocked,  “What? But why mom?”.

“I don’t know yet,” she said, “your uncle told me an hour ago, he heard the news from his neighbor.”

Our dad attended a wedding when the news came out. We really thought it was true. After a day of searching, it was 8 o’clock pm, somebody knocked on our door. And yes, it was our beloved dad with no bruises – well and alive. The news was just a hoax. We are so overwhelmed with joy.  We hugged him so tightly. Thanks God!

We learned so many lessons from that incident. Not to believe immediately unless it was proven right. A fake news can really turned your life upside down, beware!!

You cannot control other people’s tongue. They can say anything and everything out of proportion. Others may judge you harshly but the power is still in your hands. It’s your choice to believe or not.

Remember not to listen and act on destructive and abusive words; others may say, your dreams are impossible to achieve, that you are not good enough. Never give in to them. They are your enemy trying to put you down.

Speak blessing and love to your children, don’t curse their future. Always believe in their ability.  Always believe that their future is far way better than any curses.

I have listed below top 13 quotes and sayings that best explained the power of the tongue.

TOP 10 RULES OF SUCCESS EVERY MOM SHOULD CONSIDER

Facebooktwittergoogle_pluspinterest

As a Mom, You want the best for your kids. You want them to see that you model success. Here are the top 10 rules of Success to consider.

5 years ago, my Life was a total mess. I have no goals, no clear direction, no vision boards and no dream whatsoever. I was just living my life just like any other. I don’t know where my life is heading. I have no guts to discover new things because I am afraid of failing.

Every day is just another ordinary day – waking up, go to work, go home late at night, sleep. It was a simple life, no complications, but It was boring.

Then one day I realized, comfort zone will never bring me to the peak of the mountain. I have to take difficult roads to achieve greatness. And that starts my love for business and inspirational books. Then changed my daily routine, I read inspirational books or watch motivational YouTube channels that inspired me a lot like Evan Carmichael, Terri Savelle Foy, Joel OsteenValuetainment and many more. They are my hero. They opened my eyes to the real essence of life. I’ve learned that success is hard but it’s not impossible.

Note: We are not perfect, I struggle with some of the rules below but minimizing my bad habits is a good way to start.

I learned to write all my goals – from short to long term, so I can track all my activities, whether I’m heading to the wrong direction or not.  I want everything in order, and I’m proud to say, I strictly follow these rules.

1. Faith in God

Prayer and meditation makes you closer to God. What Faith can do? It can move mountains, you tend to believe that nothing on earth is impossible.

Put God first. He is the source of everything, your strength, your joy and all the resources you are enjoying right now.

I consider prayer, reading the Bible and meditation the most important part of my life. I do these before doing difficult tasks or when stumble upon difficult decisions.

2. Discover your Purpose

Why are you still breathing? Because we are created for a purpose, we are alive to accomplish what we are intended to do. To do the things you are created for. Use your Passion, Gifts and Potential.

Don’t go the the grave with your dreams unfulfilled!

I journal everything I see – blessings, Ideas, Passion, Talents and gifts I have. In doing so, I have a clearer vision on how to spend the rest of the day fulfilled and happy.

I want to use my talent and gift to fulfill the purpose God put in my heart.

3. Develop Winning attitude and Habits

One must have the habits of a great businesswoman – Hard work, Goal oriented, Persistence, Positive, Creative, Determined, Resourceful, Self-motivated and Disciplined.

It is impossible to achieve greatness without these these habits.

I also read my daily Affirmations; let me share it with you:

  • I am the child of the most high God
  • I am beautiful and Confident inside and out
  • I am Extremely Positive ( No complaining, No blaming, No Comparing)
  • I am a Self-Made Millionaire
  • I am a successful Blogger and a digital Nomad
  • I am confident to speak in front of the crowd
  • I am Determined
  • I am Disciplined
  • I am Focused
  • I am Healthy

These daily affirmations make me focused and determined to do difficult tasks.

4. Goal Setting

Goal Setting or writing your goals is equally important as to going to your daily work. If you don’t have a written plan, you will probably do a ton of work and still complain, because you felt unproductive.

The purpose of goal settings is to make you focus on important tasks and forget the one that makes you busy but unproductive.

Half the battle is won if you place your dreams on paper.

5. Live Below your Means

Don’t live above your means, you might incur huge debts. Don’t live within, you will have no extra. Rather live below your means so you have enough money left for investments and savings.

I used to be a wild spender but now I practice delay gratification. If I don’t need it, I don’t buy. I strictly follow my budget.

6. Save

Saving money will lessen your future headaches. Teach your kids as well. Saving enough money will let you live comfortably when you get old.

I want to retire comfortably so I have to discipline myself by saving up my 30 percent of my income. The rest is for my expenses like food, shelter, clothing and entertainment.

7. Invest

We all need to invest, not only for ourselves but for your next generation to come. Learn Business and marketing strategies, Study online and social media marketing. Internet Marketing is the future of the next generation, innovate and learn ways to be on top of the trends.

I always find time to invest my money properly; I read a lot to gain more knowledge in investing. I want to learn more about investing in mutual funds, bonds, stocks and digital marketing.

8. Act on Your goals

One of the secrets of success is to take action. You have goals, you wrote it down but if you will not take action. Your dreams are just a wish. It will never come.

Don’t wish for the stars to fall. Do the impossible – Work, focus and be patient.  Never waste time because it is limited, act now before it’s too late.

10. Be Successful in every Areas of your Life

Balance is everything. Run your race well but never let your family a sacrificial lamb. Success is a package. Your goal must be Success in family, career and financial.

There are people who are wealthy but their family was broke. I don’t think that is success, but on the other hand, I prefer to be a single mom than to be with an insane husband,  just an opinion.

Leaders Must Haves – How to Lead Effectively

Facebooktwittergoogle_pluspinterest

If you want to be an effective leader, learn to be a servant first.

Learn to humble yourself. Humility is not thinking less of yourself; It is thinking of yourself less – C.S. Lewis.

It is one of the greatest assets a leader must have, it is more important than power and fame.  Your humility will stand up after your fame and power has gone.

Humble leaders magnetize all the grace of God, They are leaders the world needs.

Simon Sinek – a motivational speaker and the author of the best-selling book, Start with Why, shared a great story:

There was a former undersecretary of defense who was invited to speak in a large conference about a thousand of people.  He was standing in the stage with this cup of coffee in Styrofoam cup. After he sipped, he said, Last year I spoke in these exact the same conference, I was still the undersecretary of defense. When I spoke here last year they flew me here business class. When I arrived at the airport somebody is waiting for me to take me in my hotel room.

The next morning, I came downstairs and there’s someone waiting in the lobby to greet me and drove me into this exact the same venue. They took me into a green room where they handed me a cup of coffee in a beautiful ceramic cup.

Now, I am no longer the undersecretary.  I flew here coach. I took a taxi into my hotel. When I came down to the lobby this morning, I took another taxi into this venue. I came in front door and found my way backstage. And when I ask someone “Do you have any coffee?” He pointed to the coffee machine at the corner and I poured myself a cup of coffee into this Styrofoam cup. He said, “The cup is never meant for me, it is meant for the position I held. I deserve a Styrofoam cup.”

As you gain fame and fortune, as you gain position and authority people will treat you better. They will hold doors open for you. They will get you a cup of coffee without you even ask. They will call you Sir and Ma’am and they will give you stuff. None of that stuff is meant for you, it is meant for the position you hold. You deserve a Styrofoam cup. Always remember this lesson of HUMILITY.

Are You A Good Steward of What You Are Entrusted?

Are you a Good steward of what you have entrusted?

Money is the number 1 factor that steal us from God.

“The rich become richer and the poor become poorer”.

I heard this phrases many times. And I was reminded by the parable of the tenants. Sometimes, the number one reason of your poverty is poor spending habits and your extravagant lifestyle. You have been splurging money for things that don’t have value or on things that depreciates in value.

Here is the parable of the talents, found in Matthew 25: 14–29 (ESV Version). “For it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted to them his property. To one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his ability. Then he went away.

He who had received the five talents went at once and traded with them, and he made five talents more. So also he who had the two talents made two talents more. But he who had received the one talent went and dug in the ground and hid his master’s money.

Now after a long time the master of those servants came and settled accounts with them. And he who had received the five talents came forward, ringing five talents more, saying, “Master, you delivered me five talents; here I have made five talents more.”

His master said to him, “well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.

And he also who had two talents came forward saying, “Master, you delivered to me two talents; here I have made two talents more.” His Master said to him, “well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.”

He also who had received the one talent came forward saying, “Master, I knew you to be hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you scattered no seed, so I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Here you have what is yours.”

But his master answered him, “you wicked and slothful servant! You knew that I reap where I have not sown and gather where I scattered no seed? Then you ought to have invested my money with the bankers, and at my coming I should have received what was my own with interest.

How Can Your Self-Confidence Affect Your SUCCESS?

Believing in yourself is the key foundation of success in any measure. How you see yourself affects how you live and spend your day. It doesn’t mean bragging and being boastful (that is arrogance). It simply means loving yourself first because you cannot give what you do not have, and simply believing in your ability to succeed.

Self-Confidence is crucial and essential in developing ones willpower and ability to achieve. It is a positive belief that you can achieve something big in the future.

My favorite you tube vlogger alpha m. described it as unwavering belief in your ability, values and self-worth.

Never interchange it with arrogance. Arrogance is telling everybody and bragging about your achievements.

The Different Types of Battles We Face Everyday

“Half the battle is won if you know the enemy more than they know you. If you know your enemies you can strategize better and more intelligently.”

I heard this preaching many Sundays ago but was still fresh in my imagination. It had changed my approach in dealing with conflicts. It gave me clearer picture on how to deal with one. There are lots of fights we are facing each day, from destructive words to emotional battles to actual fights, that has the power to make or break us. We cannot control the emotion and anger of other people; they can say anything out of our control. The only thing we could do is not to listen or to ignore them.

My Borderless World

Life is full of borders. We sometimes feel that we live inside the box, so limited. But if you look at the horizon, you’ll see, you have a borderless world.

it’s true, Life is full of chaos and mysteries that has the ability to stop or prevent us from fighting for the things we want in life. Poverty is one, many students these days choose their course in college according to what is affordable. You want to be a doctor or a lawyer but because your parents cannot afford it, you settled for something “less” even if it’s not your passion and potential. And at the end of your course, you didn’t pursue it because it is boring to you. It is not what you want to do.

I was born and raised in the province that was very far from civilization. I felt that our lives are full of borders, so limited and hopeless. My childhood days are full of struggles, chaos and unending misfortunes. Our community had no electricity, we used pine woods to light our home, we sleep early at around 6 to 7 pm because the surrounding was already dark. We don’t have water supply, we have to fetch water 1 kilometer away from home. In order to eat, we have to plant root crops, vegetables and rice. We seldom eat meat, fish and bread because the city is far. During harvest, we carry our load of vegetables 7 kilometers to the nearest car station.
